Cookie Notice

Effective date: February 27, 2026 · Version 1.0.0

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to provide information to site operators, and to remember your preferences. Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by third parties whose services the website uses (“third-party cookies”).

2. Cookies We Use

Contia uses only the minimum cookies necessary to operate the platform. We set a single authentication cookie, which is strictly essential:

Cookie NamePurposeDurationAttributesCategory
sb-*-auth-token
(chunked: .0, .1, etc.)
Authentication session token managed by Supabase. Contains a cryptographically signed token that verifies your identity. Issued upon login, required for authenticated requests. Automatically refreshed by the server.Access token refreshes every hour; refresh token persists up to 30 daysHttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=LaxEssential

3. Why These Cookies Are Essential

Both cookies listed above are classified as strictly essential because the Contia platform cannot authenticate users without them. They are not used to track your behavior, build a profile, or serve advertisements. Without these cookies:

  • You would not be able to log in to Contia.
  • You would not be able to access any authenticated features, including creating jobs, viewing assets, or managing your account.
  • Every page navigation would require you to re-enter your credentials, rendering the platform unusable.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the service, they do not require your consent under applicable data protection laws, including the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended), the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and similar frameworks.

4. No Marketing or Analytics Cookies

Contia does not use any marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies. We do not set cookies for the purposes of:

  • Tracking your browsing activity across websites.
  • Building behavioral or interest-based profiles.
  • Serving targeted or retargeted advertisements.
  • Collecting analytics or usage metrics via third-party services (such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tools).

5. No Third-Party Tracking Cookies

Contia does notallow any third party to set tracking cookies through our platform. The only cookies set when you use Contia are the two first-party essential cookies described in Section 2 above. We do not embed third-party scripts, pixels, or beacons that would place cookies on your device.

6. How to Manage Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these controls in your browser’s “Settings,” “Preferences,” or “Privacy” menu. Common options include:

  • Viewing cookies: See which cookies are currently stored on your device.
  • Deleting cookies: Remove some or all cookies from your device.
  • Blocking cookies: Configure your browser to block cookies from specific sites or all sites.

Important: If you delete or block the sb-*-auth-token cookies, you will be logged out of Contia and will not be able to log in again until you re-enable cookies for our domain. Because these are the only cookies we set, and they are essential for authentication, there is no way to use Contia with cookies disabled.

For instructions on managing cookies in specific browsers, please refer to your browser’s help documentation.

7. Changes to This Cookie Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we introduce any new categories of cookies (such as analytics or marketing cookies), we will update this notice accordingly and, where required by law, obtain your consent before setting those cookies.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Notice periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
